India's crushing defeat of Pakistan in the World Cup cricket match in Mohali Wednesday brought cheer to Bollywood. Stars like Abhishek Bachchan, Sushmita Sen, Anupam Kher and Shilpa Shetty hailed the boys in blue for overcoming the Pakistani challenge.

Did Hugh Jackman come between SRK, Hrithik?

Hrithik Roshan and wife Sussanne weren't invited for King Khan's impromptu party for Hugh Jackman B-Town is abuzz about the dosti mein daraar between Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan. And Hugh Jackman's to blame! Apparently, Duggu and Sussanne are miffed with SRK and Gauri for not inviting them to the bash at Mannat, held especially for the X-Men star. The party was an impromptu affair post the FICCI Frames event. Khan's pals made a dash to Mannat immediately after. The Roshans, notably, were absent despite being close friends with SRK and his begum. It came as a big surprise to those present given that the couples are almost always seen at each other's parties. Says a Bandra source, "The Roshans, it appears, were sullen at being left out of the revelry." The story doesn't end there. Two nights later, the Roshans held a bash for a high-end luxury brand. It was a planned event with several B-Town folk in attendance. The Khans were not extended an invitation. Tit for tat? Change of plans: Aamir off to Mohali for Indo-Pak clash

Aamir Khan has abandoned his plans to watch the India-Pakistan match tomorrow with pals at home.

Instead, Mr Perfectionist is heading to Mohali to catch the action at the stadium itself. Wifey Kiran Rao is accompanying him.

He's already asked Reema Katgi to cancel the day's shoot. Initially, the actor planned to host a party at his place and invite friends to watch the match. But now he has managed to get tickets in the VIP booth for himself!

Last heard, Abhishek Bachchan was facing hiccups over his Mohali trip. Just when Junior B had managed VIP tickets for the match, he realised all flights were full in that direction.

Couple has decided to adhere to professional commitments that require them to be in the same frame

Amidst speculation of them going their separate ways, Bipasha Basu and John Abraham have decided to adhere to professional commitments that require them to be in the same frame.

Notes a source, "Bips and John have been making solo appearances for quite some time now.

While Bips recently revealed a 'crackling chemistry' with her Dum Maaro Dum co-star Rana Dagubatti, John's appearing alone on Koffee With Karan only served to send the rumour mills into a tizzy."

As a couple, the two previously featured in an anti-dandruff shampoo ad. They have now been offered another hair product to endorse together and the news is, that they have said yes.

Reveals the source, "Their contract with an anti-dandruff shampoo brand recently ended.

Another brand has offered them big money to endorse the product together. They even shot a TV commercial for it recently.

Imran Khan turns 'bawarchi'

Actor dished out delicacies for his cast and crew Did you know he can cook as well? Imran Khan threw an impromptu dawaat for the cast and crew of his two films Mere Brother ki Dulhan and Short Term Shaadi at his Bandra pad. The actor has been busy in two hectic schedules for both these films. He's hardly got any days off with the shoots happening round the clock. But when he did get a day off, Imran called the cast and crew of the two films and organised a dinner party. A source reveals, "When Imran finally got one day off, instead of sleeping and relaxing he decided to call over the crews of Short Term Shaadi and Break Ke Baad. Everyone from all the assistants to technicians were invited. Since he's super friendly with each and every person he personally called them up. " While the guests expected food to come from a restaurant, they were shocked to see that Imran had actually cooked some starters. "Not many know that he cooks well. So the entire crew was in for a big surprise. They all ate, played some songs and had a hearty time at Imran's place. "

Pakistani hottie Sofia Hayat to expose her parents

Sofia Hayat, a Britain-based actress of Pakistani origin, who was kidnapped by her parents at knife point, has scripted a film called "Dishonoured", about the trials and tribulations of Asians in Britain. She says it is inspired by her own life.

"I have written a film script, which would be half filmed in India. The film will go on the floors by the end of this year. A production company in UK took it at $2 million. I am very excited about the project. The film's cast will have actors from both - UK and India, " Hayat told.

Sofia, also a singer and model, is in India to shoot for director Vinod Mukhia's women-oriented drama "Diary of a Butterfly".

In "Dishonoured", she gives an insight to the life of a British Indian (mostly girls) who dare to pursue a career against parents will.

"It's based on my life and based on many Asian people's life growing up in India and England. My story starts with how a girl wants to be a performer and how she handles parents' objection, " she said.

"My parents at kidnapped me from University at knife point because I changed my course from science to arts against their will. I could escape and police got involved. That incident made me write the book called 'Dishonoured'. Even my music album is named 'Dishonoured', " she said.

Asked if she would be directing the film too, she said: "I think I have to let it go. If you can get a good director on board, he can do a better job than I can. I can be a good director because I am a creative person. I have the images of the scene to be shot. So I would be working closely in the project to make it as realistic as it can be."

World Cup: India-England match ends in a dramatic tie

India and England shared the honours as their World Cup Group B encounter ended in a dramatic last-ball tie at the packed M Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Sunday.

England skipper Andrew Strauss' career-best 158 nearly took England to a win. However, a late burst from Zaheer Khan (3/64) pulled back things for India, but poor fielding and dropped catches allowed the visitors to reach 338 for eight in 50 overs.

England, chasing the big total, were cruising along with Strauss and Ian Bell (69) taking the score to 280/2. The two put on 170 runs but left in quick succession as Zaheer dismissed them in successive deliveries in the 43rd over and India bounced back in the match.

Twenty20 champions England needed 29 runs off the last 12 balls. Graeme Swann (15 not out) and Tim Bresnan (14), who picked up five for 48, spanked leg-spinner Piyush Chawla for two sixes as 15 runs came from the penultimate over. Chawla, however, struck with his last ball to castle Bresnan.

In the last over, England needed 18 runs and Ahmed Shehzad (6 not out) heaved Munaf Patel for a huge six straight down the ground to bring down the equation to five runs to win from three deliveries. Graeme Swann held his nerve to tie the match for England.

Opting to bat, India's total was built around batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar's 120, his 47th ODI century.

Tendulkar was superbly assisted by Gautam Gambhir (51) and Yuvraj Singh (58) as India, for the second consecutive time, posted a 300-plus score in the 2011 World Cup.

England were off to a good start with openers Kevin Pietersen (31) and Strauss adding 68 runs for the first wicket. Munaf took an excellent catch off his own bowling to remove Pietersen, who is the most successful English batsman on Indian soil.

Strauss and Bell kept England ahead in the chase. Strauss hit 18 fours and one six in his 145-ball knock while Bell smashed four fours and a six during his 71-ball stay.

With seven wickets in hand, England needed 67 runs in the last 10 overs to win the match.

Strauss took for the batting Powerplay in the 43rd over and it suddenly changed the equation. Zaheer raised hopes of an Indian win by removing Bell and Strauss. Struggling with cramps, Bell gifted his wicket in his attempt to clear the field, but Kohli, who had dropped him in the previous over, made amends by taking an easy catch at mid-off. In the next delivery Zaheer sent down a searing yorker that swung back late to hit Strauss on the backfoot.

England failed to take advantage of the Powerplay as they managed just 30 runs, losing five wickets.

Earlier, pacer Bresnan was outstanding and picked up the wickets of Yusuf Pathan (14), Kohli (8) and Harbhajan Singh in four balls in the penultimate over to put a brake on India's run spree.

Bresnan struck early to get rid of the dangerous Virender Sehwag, who raced to 35 off 26 balls, after wicketkeeper Matt Prior took a good one-handed catch.

Tendulkar and Gambhir then joined the party with their 134-run stand for the second wicket and smashed the England bowlers all over the park.

Tendulkar was aggressive in his approach and set the tone of his innings with two crisply-timed fours off pace spearhead James Anderson in the ninth over. His first of five sixes came against Paul Collingwood, straight over the bowler's head and he smashed him again over the mid-wicket boundary to bring up his half-century in style.

Tendulkar also came down heavily on spinner Swann and hit him for two consecutive sixes in the 27th over and got to his century by whipping Bresnan for a four down the fine-leg. Tendulkar's 115-ball knock that was studded with 10 fours and five sixes came to an end after his leading edge off Anderson was taken by Michael Yardy in the covers.

Yuvraj and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (31 off 25 balls) then came up with a 69-run stand, taking India past the 300-run mark. Yuvraj struck nine fours in his 50-ball innings while Dhoni struck three fours and a six.
